This is a busy year and a pivotal one in international efforts to address the global crisis of biodiversity loss. The Convention on Biodiversity (COP 15) and the Nature Based Solutions Agenda at 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP 26), both meeting in the Autumn, mark a culmination of multilateral efforts to achieve ambitious and urgent global action for nature. A successful outcome at both COPs would provide clear targets and pathways from governments, as well as an overarching framework to scale up public and private finance for investment in nature-positive businesses and solutions.
